How do I complete my profile ?
A complete profile is a winning profile. People will be interested to find out as much about you as possible before making the first move. Make sure yours is complete by following these simple steps:
- Find out what parts of your profile still need completing by taking a look at an overview of your profile.
- Write a little bit about yourself to help members get to know you better. We know it’s not easy talking about yourself, just be honest and upbeat!
- Let others know what you’re like and what you’re into by selecting your characteristics and interests.
- Don’t be shy! Upload a photo or two so everyone can see what you look like.
Once you’ve completed these main steps, it’s time to make your profile stand out from the crowd:
- Say hello with a video profile! Videos are a great way to get your personality across, and get yourself noticed.
- Write a diary entry sharing your thoughts and experiences so far.
What do I write in my profile text ?
The key to writing a good profile is to be yourself. Let people know who you are and what interests you. For example:
- What are you interested in?
- What activities do you enjoy?
- What do you do for a living?
- How do you spend your weekends?
- How would your friends describe you?
When online all you have are your words, so make sure each one counts. This is your chance to sell yourself, go for it!
How long will it take to approve my profile ?
We pride ourselves on keeping our approval times to around half an hour or less. So, once you've submitted your profile, why not take a look around the site and before you know it your profile will be up and running.
Can I see who has looked at my profile ?
If you'd like to see who has looked at your profile simply click on the ‘Account’ button (located in the top right hand corner of your menu bar), followed by ‘Viewed Me’. This will show you all those members that have recently looked at your profile. The more recently a member has viewed your profile, the higher they will appear on the list. Remember, this works both ways so you will be shown in other members' ‘Viewed Me’ listings after viewing their profile.
How can I find other members' profiles ?
There a few ways in which you can find other members' profiles on the site. The easiest way to do this is to use Search.
Search allows you to select how you'd like to find members based on what is important to you. There are lots of advanced search filters to choose from.
A fun way to find members you might like is with Encounters. This is a quick and interactive way to skim through profiles whilst at the same time, rating people ‘Yes, No or Maybe’ based on whether you like the look of them at first glance. This feature not only lets you find other members, but also allows you to let them know whether you'd like to meet them or not.
